card validation

From Version 3.0 Become: Debt Free and BDF Free have a more comprehensive and visible validation process than before. On the Manage Cards screen, each Card’s entry has an indicator next to it, either  green with a tick
or red with a cross
. A red indicator means that some part of the Card’s data is incomplete or invalid.
Invalid Cards (Marked with a
) are not included in any calculations.

Tap the row to enter the Card Details screen to see which data is missing or in error.

Each row has an indicator, either
,
, or
.
At present, the Card name and Issuer will always be valid
whatever you have in there.
The Balance will be either valid
if there is a positive balance, or marked with the attention indicator
if it is zero. This will not cause it to be marked as an invalid Card, and it will be included in the calculations in that the usual payment figure will be added to the funds used to pay off any other Cards.
As with the Balance figure, the Interest Rate will either be
if positive, or
if below 1%. As with Balance, this will not invalidate the Card but is marked for your attention in case it is in error (You may have entered .15 meaning 15% for example).
The Minimum Payment will either be
if greater than one month’s interest payments or
if less. This is clearly an error and will cause the Card to be marked as Invalid.
The Usual Payment will either be
if greater than the Minimum Payment, or
if less. This is also clearly an error and will cause the Card to be marked as Invalid.
